Led the Launch of Airbnb’s Connected Smart Lock Platform

As a tech lead, drove the end-to-end rewrite and launch of Airbnb’s first hardware integration — a platform enabling secure, seamless check-ins through deep integrations with leading smart lock brands.

Designed the system to be fully asynchronous for resilience, scalability, and low operational overhead. This was a highly cross-functional effort, grounded in customer obsession — delivering a magically simple experience for guests and effortless automation for hosts.

Prototyped, designed and implemented the first version of PowerPoint Designer. In addition worked on some upgrades for PowerPoint Desktop

SQL based project that tracked OEM Activations of Microsoft Windows around the world. Primarily focused on improving the performance via sql query optimization, Database indexing, etc. Designed a framework that provides for parallelism in execution, reducing the overall ETL time by 60%.

Worked in an applied research group to develop several prototypes for increasing employee productivity. The Modern Innovations Group was a CIO sponsored initiative, with a set of hand-picked individuals working on multiple digital prototypes. I worked on multiple applications such as a Whiteboard OCR App (in collaboration of Office and Bing Team) that did image adjustments, OCR, etc. and made it easy to share these images via OneDrive. This app was extremely well received by the Office Leadership, and was also showcased at MGX. This application was integrated with Campus Experience, a “Swiss-army knife” for employees across. The app has over 20000 downloads across Microsoft, and is widely used.
