# Aaron Goldblatt > Assistant Vice President at Bank of America Location: New York City Metropolitan Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/aarongoldblatt I’m passionate about building, solving, and exploring. I thrive on pushing beyond convention—tackling problems from angles others might overlook and creating solutions that leave a mark. I hold a BS in Computer Science and a BA in Mathematics, with research experience spanning computational chemistry, artificial intelligence, and neuroscience. As an engineer at TRUE, I invented and developed the patent-pending Audit product (TRUE Data Verification), automating mortgage loan auditing with record-breaking speed and accuracy. I have a deep interest in AI, video game programming, VR, genetic algorithms, and cryptography. Outside of work, I read voraciously, write poetry, skateboard, experiment with guitar, and advocate - sometimes with excessive enthusiasm - for the virtues of quilted toilet paper. ## Work Experience ### Assistant Vice President - Software Engineer II @ Bank of America Jan 2025 – Present | New York, NY ### Software Engineer @ Bank of America Jan 2024 – Jan 2025 | New York, NY - Software Engineer and Application Developer working on backend technologies for Bank of America’s Global Markets Equities Data and Analytics group. More specifically, designing and developing next-generation, distributed, high-volume, high-velocity, multi-threaded event processing systems in an Agile environment. Specializing in applications for regulatory reporting, alerting, analytics, data warehousing, big data, and AI. - Languages and technologies used for this role include Java, Python, Apache Kafka/Storm/N2H/ZooKeeper, Spring Boot, Maven, distributed systems, DevOps, Ansible, SQL and NoSQL databases. - Contracted full-time through Apex Systems - Converted to full-time employee after successful performance in this role ### Lead Software Engineer @ TRUE Jan 2021 – Jan 2023 | Queens, NY - Lead developer and inventor of the VerifAI Audit, or TRUE Data Verification, product suite (patent pending), software that automatically audits mortgage loans for internal and external consistency, checks the work of Loan Officers, Underwriters, and QC Specialists, and resolved any inconsistencies that are not vital or due to loan error, all in a matter of seconds with clear and concise output reports. Reduces time needed for loan document review from many hours per loan when done by a human to a few seconds when done by the software. Audits ~3,000 critical loan data points that are compiled into ~200 generic global values, represented in multiple points of the loan, all in a few seconds. - Primarily focused on application research and development, software design and implementation, use of SCRUM, Agile, and DevOps frameworks for project management, automation of the knowledge worker, productization for clients regarding releases and updates, and applied artificial intelligence data and statistical research. - Works as well on the product side of the software, aiding in design and implementation of a Web GUI, an API, specialized Docker containers to run the program, and making a Mongo Database to allow for back-end data storage and retrieval. - Technologies used in this role: C#, Python, Pandas, SQL, VBA, Jira, Confluence, Git, Microsoft Excel, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Adobe Acrobat, JSON, XML, .NET, OCR Engines, Docker, Asynchronous Programming, Software Release and Distribution - Research and development software engineering for applied Artificial Intelligence in the mortgage space. ### Artificial Intelligence/Computational Chemistry Researcher @ Queens College Computational Chemistry Laboratory - The Hu Research Group Jan 2020 – Jan 2021 | Queens, New York, United States Mentored by Dr. Guoxiang Hu I pioneered novel research in computational chemistry and machine learning by applying artificial intelligence methods to the problem of measuring functional properties of materials with great promise for applications to modern societal issues. This research served as the foundation of my honors undergraduate thesis, which is being submitted to leading chemistry journals. Two-dimensional (2D) transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) have attracted tremendous interest as functional materials, especially in their edges. I developed a cheaper (several orders of magnitude cheaper than electronic structure methods) force-field for 2D TMDCs using neural network or Gaussian approximation potential (GAP) models. The training data was generated by using high-performance computing (HPC). With this cheaper but sufficiently accurate force-field, I applied genetic algorithms (GA) to create more edge structures beyond a handful of experimentally observed edges for 2D TMDCs, and screen their functional properties. This role combined hard scientific research with applied ML and CS techniques. ### Teaching Assistant/Peer Mentor @ Queens College Computer Science Department Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 | Queens, New York, United States - Aiding in lesson preparation, teaching, peer mentoring, exam creation, and proctoring of advanced CS theory classes - Maintaining office hours to guide students and aid them with homework, assignments, and studying for net average grade boost - Participating in study of quantitative-computational science like automata theory and the work of Turing ### Augmented Reality Software Engineer @ echo3D Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 | New York City Metropolitan Area - Full Stack Software Engineer, worked on both Frontend and Backend solutions - Supported the creation of new features and streamlining of a cloud-based server-side AR application development tool - Developed a new web UI with a Java and Node.js backend and a Angular JS, React, dynamic HTML, and TypeScript frontend, as well as Quality Assurance and Testing - Worked with Java, TypeScript, Node.js, Angular JS, Nebular, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and Unity - Performed Quality Assurance and testing on new website environment, identifying and fixing numerous bugs and errors ### Neuroscience Software Engineer/Researcher @ Queens College Neuroscience Laboratory - The Beeler Research Group Jan 2018 – Jan 2020 | Queens, New York, United States Mentored by Dr. Jeffrey Beeler Works for Neuroscience/Psychology lab on QC Campus under Chair of Psychology, Dr. Jeffrey Beeler.
