Working full-stack, I built and scaled the Onward app, which was used by co-parents to make managing finances easier.

As one of the few (at one point, the only) internal engineers at the company, I became intimately familiar with the mechanics of an early stage startup. Was trusted by the executive team to communicate the impacts of engineering work, and to convert business goals into value for our users in production.

Onward was a React Native app backed by GraphQL APIs. It shut down in 2024.

I built the frontend for the Carbon Black Cloud platform, which provides realtime threat analysis and incident response capability to network security teams. Designers, PMs and I worked to give customers visibility into their data - terabytes of text, from many thousands of machines - and help them make informed decisions.

When UI work was light, I contributed to the platform's data ingestion engine and distributed search APIs. I also planned the company's Hackathons and ran the culture initiative in our Boston office.

CB was acquired by VMware in 2019.

While still a full-time student, I was trusted by the transit authority to lead the team that built the PVTA's official web and mobile app.  It provided trip planning, realtime data, and more during its 4 years in production.

I contributed to our internal management application, which handled every bus, car, shift, route, employee, and paycheck at UMass Transit. 

I also drove revenue service for the PVTA and continue to hold a commercial drivers' license.

I worked with a globally distributed team and took the geofencing capabilities in Lutron's home control app on Android from conception to completion. This involved designing UIs, performing user research, and producing design documents prior to implementation.
