My focus has traditionally been in the iOS and Android tools space, but I like to work on lots of different things. ## Work Experience ### Senior Software Engineer @ Dropbox Jan 2022 – Present | Washington, District of Columbia, United States Drove, planned, and executed a migration from Buck to Bazel in the Dropbox iOS codebase. Supported an SCM migration across a distributed team of over 60 developers from Phabricator to GitHub. Coordinated the iOS teams' rollout of macOS-based iOS CI workloads to AWS. Advocated for Bazel adoption within the organization and the Bazel open source project. ### Senior Software Engineer @ Twitter Jan 2021 – Jan 2022 | Boston, Massachusetts, United States Migrated the core A/V client codebase to Swift Package Manager. Developed tools for our A/V testing environment to reduce iteration time for new features. Drove increased adoption of Swift away from Objective-C to improve reliability. ### Senior Development Platforms Engineer @ Wayfair Jan 2020 – Jan 2021 | Boston, Massachusetts, United States Drove a migration of CentOS-based build infrastructure from on-premises data centers to autoscaled Google Compute Engine instance groups on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Incorporated new features in Terraform, Vault, and Puppet that reduced infrastructure toil and eliminated scheduling wait times for continuous integration. Collaborated across teams and functions in order to successfully leverage GCP in innovative ways at Wayfair. ### Senior App Infrastructure Engineer @ Wayfair Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 | Greater Boston Area Led a team of five to create tools to support the development of apps across Wayfair. Drove a substantial SCM migration across a distributed team of over 100 developers and over 20 repositories from Gitlab Enterprise to GitHub Enterprise. Designed a framework for more performant, reproducible iOS and Android builds on Buildkite. Supported the broader transition to a weekly release of the Storefront iOS application. ### iOS Application Engineer L2 @ Wayfair Jan 2017 – Jan 2019 | Greater Boston Area Led a team of three to create tools to support the development of iOS apps in the Storefront division. Maintained and administered our Jenkins and Buddybuild continuous integration platforms on iOS and Android. Created a metrics platform for monitoring local and remote build performance of iOS apps, in order to identify trends and regressions. Negotiated infrastructural support with partners in Release Engineering to run Swift-based endpoint integration tests on Linux in Docker. Implemented product page Handoff into the Storefront iOS app and website. ### Development Services @ Fangamer Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 Contributed to a large Shopify Ruby-on-Rails codebase to launch an overhauled in-stock notification system. ### Mobile Developer @ SapientRazorfish Jan 2016 – Jan 2017 | Greater Boston Area Developed and published four apps to iOS and Android storefronts using React Native for a Fortune 100 insurance client. Served as the teams sole native mobile specialist and release engineer. Created testing and release tools for teams to reduce development friction. Built-up Jenkins cluster to create reproducible, concurrent app builds, and coordinated with clients to painlessly deploy to storefronts. Utilized Agile methodology and Scrum to effectively respond to and pivot on client input. ### Full Stack Developer @ Rochester Institute of Technology Jan 2016 – Jan 2016 | Rochester, New York Area Worked under the department chair with one other person to develop a web-based system for sharing tutorials on game and software development subjects by illustrating the relationships between topics. Developed in CoffeeScript over the course of a five month contract. ### Mobile QA Engineer @ Xamarin Jan 2015 – Jan 2015 | Greater Boston Area Responsible for automating product sample testing, filing and verifying bugs in the Xamarin platform, managing and enhancing internal QA infrastructure using Chef, performing automated test runs and working with the Mobile Dev team to port new Android and iOS samples from Google I/O and WWDC. ### Programming Instructor @ iD Tech Camps Jan 2013 – Jan 2014 | American University, Georgetown University I instructed 13-17 year olds with varying exposures to programming in programming with Java and C++ for two summers.
