I'm a software engineer with experience developing applications in the Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning space. These applications use the latest AI/ML techniques to create models from user data that allow them to make predictions about their data.

 My primary language is Python, but I also have significant experience in C++, Java, and Perl. I have a strong understanding of data structure design, algorithm implementation, and software testing. I also have experience as the engineering lead on several projects. I've written technical specs, produced the code to satisfy them, and delivered the requested features in full and on time.

Outside of work, I'm a big hockey fan and player.  My favorite NHL team is the Detroit Red Wings. I also follow Northeastern's team in the NCAA. I played varsity in high school and intramural level in college. I also like to play video games in my spare time. Minecraft, Rocket League, and the Dark Souls series have been among my favorites recently.

## Work Experience
### Software Engineer @ DataRobot
Jan 2017 – Present | Boston
- Led project to create a resource monitor for our application. The monitor used queries to the YARN Resource  Manager as well as Mongo and Redis databases to provide information about resource consumption, user activity, and license limits. It helped admins debug issues in production and see which users are consuming the most resources.
- Led internal security audit of our public API. Added code to ensure requests to existing routes matched expected input. Also added code to force new routes to validate input requests before they accessed the data it contained.
- Added ability to download, modify, and upload generalized additive models to the Python API client.
- Added indexes to mongo tables to speed up performance of some queries.
- Participate in rotating firefighter role, on-call position to debug issues in production systems.
- Use Agile development practices daily.

### Software Engineer Co-op @ Nutonian (acquired by DataRobot)
Jan 2016 – Jan 2017 | Boston
- Designed and developed spreadsheet processing in C++ that applied time series and multiclass properties to a dataset.
- Added new objects to the python API to allow use of features as they became available on the backend.
- Added ability to retrieve Nutonian's charts from the python API.

### Operations Engineer Co-op @ GSN Games
Jan 2015 – Jan 2015 | Boston
- Used Kickstart to create Centos VMs to replace out of date systems.
- Automated the running of Arachni security scans on our web interfaces.
- Designed and developed an all-in-one web interface with PHP and Javascript for viewing
security scan results.
- Upgraded Cisco IOS firmware on network switches.
- Racked and cabled new hardware in our data center.
- Used Agile development practices daily.

- Developed C++ application to transform file data between multiple internal formats.
- Wrote unit and integration tests for existing applications. 
- Upgraded test suite to include C++ testing libraries.
- Maintained Jenkins install and added plugins to improve testing and coverage reports.
- Taught my department's portion of Emerging Leaders, a program designed to help maintenance workers transition to an engineering role.
