Graduated with a B.S. in Finance from KU in May 2012 and began working as a Market Researcher at a startup company developing a robotic camera platform. I had throughout high school competed in various engineering competitions and was fluent in CAD, so I told my boss I would be interested in designing and building the platform. From there they suggested I should go back to school for engineering and so re-enrolled in school graduated with B.S. in Computer Engineering December 2019. I have worked in various roles in both business side as well as the engineering/development side.

### Senior Software Engineer I @ LTK (formerly rewardStyle & LIKEtoKNOW.it)
Jan 2021 – Jan 2026
- Appointed the Technical Lead on an accounting ledger proof of concept project. As the technical lead I was the primary researcher, project planner (creation of tickets, timeline estimation, etc.), and final decision maker on the projects technical implementation. I was directly responsible for output of 2 other engineers and a third via the other senior engineer on the project. I helped lead the other senior engineer on his section of the project as well as how to best use the junior engineer he had working with him.
- Developed and executed on a migration strategy for a Python/Thrift RPC application from single EC2 instances to a scalable ECS network load balanced application. This included cron jobs that were migrated into Fargate tasks, integrating with the company build process, and deeper DataDog integration and monitoring dashboard.
- Developed and executed on a migration strategy for a Python/RabbitMQ/Celery ETL application to an ECS/SQS based service. This included cost and timeline estimation. Increased reliability, scalability and testability. This led to less developer interactions to reload data and faster development times.
- Developed a training curriculum (TDD, design patterns, Python, MySQL, etc.) for interns and new grads on team so they can be effective engineers. Hosted TDD katas to train developers.

### Full Stack Developer @ Farmobile

- Use Test Driven Development and Design Driven Development (OpenAPI spec) methodologies to develop Django RESTful APIs.
- Lead from design to development the creation of a webhook service and associated management API for integration partners to subscribe to and react to events inside the Farmobile Data Engine.
- Rewrote Jenkins build process for ECS and AWS Batch applications to allow for centralized build logic and more flexible configuration.
- Led implementation of AWS Parameter Store integration from both the application code perspective and the Terraform modules perspective.
- Deployed and maintained SAML2 SSO federated apps and Identity Provider (Had open source commits related to this). 
- Mentored other developers about testing strategies, Dockerfile authoring, and general Python development though 1-on-1 sessions and “lunch and learn” group lectures.

- Executed quality assurance and asset rights test cases for mobile video streaming applications.
- Provided feedback on test cases such as their validity, description, and steps that led to several tests being removed as not valid and clearer steps that were inline with their description.

- Partnered with a distributor to collect and analyze data, including sales, order count, web traffic, etc. From there developed and executed on a strategy that increased annual sales by $100,000+.
- Used Google Analytics and tracking URLs to measure the effectiveness of advertising channels as well as advertising content, helping us realize that customers were more likely to click through on product images that featured portraits of people over vector graphic designs.
- Created surveys with Survey Monkey to gather quantitative and qualitative information on sample kits leading to adjusting the kits to show a broader arrangement of product ensembles.
- Increased pricing 30% based on research that had no effect on the quantity of orders.

### Mechanical Design Engineer @ CandyCam Multimedia Robotics

- Used SolidWorks to design, fabricate, and assemble a stabilized camera platform suspended by four wires
- Developed a high level of familiarity with various manufacturing processes such as CNC router tables, lathe, drill press, and end mill.
- Researched, tested and hand fabricated materials including Aluminum Alloy, Carbon Fiber and Delrin within tenths of a millimeter specifications.
