Owned UX strategy for shipping setup and fulfillment signal acquisition on Google Merchant Center. ### Interaction Designer II @ Google Jan 2018 – Jan 2019 | Mountain View, California, United States I helped design complex logistics tools that aimed at optimizing the routes taken by carriers to deliver orders. This included setup of carrier service areas and injection points, predicting delivery times, and a comprehensive parcel search experience. ### Product Designer @ OpenDNS - now a part of Cisco Jan 2016 – Jan 2018 | San Francisco Bay Area As a lead designer for the MSP(Managed Service Providers) facet of Umbrella, I engaged in user research alongside PMs to understand requirements that helped in drafting user stories. I contributed to creating user flows, interaction patterns, and high-fidelity prototypes. I also lead in efforts to make the platform more accessible and AA compliant. ### Full Stack Developer - Graduate Assistant @ Indiana University Bloomington Jan 2015 – Jan 2016 I worked on creating a student management portal for tracking students of color and maintaining a system that ensured equal opportunities for the less privileged. This was a very meaningful project that spanned over a year where I worked closely with the student administration department. I was responsible for the design, implementation, and strategy of the system. I worked as a full-stack developer building a system using technologies such as Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, in addition to designing the portal taking a human-centered approach to the problem. ### UX Design Intern @ Visual BI Solutions Jan 2015 – Jan 2015 | Plano, Texas My role was focused towards creating seamless experiences, easier user-flows and delightful interfaces that catered to the target audience. Over the span of 12 weeks, I worked on six major projects and various other minor projects. The major projects were Proof of Concepts (POCs) that aimed at onboarding clients by showing the art of the possible using VisualBI’s tools built for the enterprise world. Working in an Agile team comprising of back-end experts, business analysts and front-end developers, the internship provided me the experience of delivering real projects to clients and also the joy of adding a few of the clients to our expanding client base. ### User Interface Engineer @ Discovery and Research Services, Indiana University Jan 2015 – Jan 2015 My responsibilities include: - Designing website themes using Illustrator. - Creating user interface themes using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. - Managing content on WordPress for the libraries website and a content discovery tool called OneSearch@IU. ### User Experience Developer @ Tata Consultancy Services Jan 2012 – Jan 2014 | Chennai, India Campus Commune - a social networking platform which aids students across the globe to get together, collaborate and learn. The website required an overall overhaul both conceptually and in design. I worked on conceptualizing the new Campus Commune framework by building user flows, wireframes, site-structure and the visual designs.
