• Onboarded new members and mentored interns, demonstrating best software development practices as well as code release processes

• Led my team’s design and development process to migrate the open source SSM Agent from using a long polling mechanism to a websocket protocol, decreasing latency by more than 30 milliseconds and increasing service scalability as a result

• Led the migration & deprecation of a legacy, internal only service to a public, native AWS service, saving more than $350,000 in infrastructure costs annually as a result as well as simplifying user experience for internal customers

• Implemented functionality for Independent Software Vendors to host their software on AWS SSM, resulting in a 27% traffic increase

• Extended AWS Distributor’s platform support by integrating it to the first ever macOS EC2 instance type, launched in re:Invent 2020
