# Ahmad Badr > Product Design Manager @ LinkedIn | Online & Field Sales Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/ahmadbadr I'm a design manager passionate about helping designers do their best work and building products that improve people's quality of life. At LinkedIn, my team and I tackle online and field selling experiences, from member checkout to internal sales tools—the kind of work that moves the needle on revenue, reduces costs, and improves productivity. My sweet spot? Spotting strategic opportunities, developing design talent, and creating scalable processes. Individually, I've shipped work used by both LinkedIn employees and Fortune 100 companies, spanning internal tools and enterprise products. Oh, I'm also a tools nerd—you'll catch me playing with the latest Figma updates, automating anything I can in Airtable or Slack, and chatting with different LLMs. Always up for geeking out about new tech! ## Work Experience ### Product Design Manager @ LinkedIn Jan 2023 – Present Leading a design team focused on two key areas: crafting seamless, trustworthy member checkout experiences and streamlining go-to-market tools for our sales organization, enabling sales reps to work more productively. ### Lead Product Designer @ LinkedIn Jan 2021 – Jan 2023 | San Francisco Bay Area At LinkedIn, leads distribute their time between management and IC work. Our team (1 lead, 4 IC's) supports robust Marketing Content, Sales Planning, and Ontology Management platforms that enable partner team success and contribute to positive, downstream business impact. We sit within Internal Apps Design and own end-end workflows, from research and problem definition to design and hand-off. The platforms we support are used to create sites like Business.LinkedIn.com, manage sales teams’ accounts and workflows across LinkedIn’s enterprise product suite, and help scale LinkedIn’s understanding of the world of work (and subsequently, the accuracy and coverage of its offerings). ### Senior Product Designer @ LinkedIn Jan 2021 – Jan 2021 ### Product Designer @ LinkedIn Jan 2019 – Jan 2021 | Sunnyvale, California As part of LinkedIn's distributed, Internal Apps Design team, I designed and launched products that improved development productivity, simplified workflow management, and enhanced explorative capabilities for engineers, taxonomists and linguists on LinkedIn's ex-Data Standardization/current-Knowledge Graph team. These included: 1. A LinkedIn ecosystem research tool for taxonomists & linguists. This is an essential piece of their workflow to this day. 2. A 0-to-1, internal, crowd-sourcing product. This was kicked off as an experiment in tandem with 3rd party crowd-sourcing, and shuttered a year later after we showed that the product required significant investment to compete at the scale and accuracy of 3rd party solutions. ### UX Designer @ Incorta Jan 2016 – Jan 2019 | San Francisco Bay Area As a designer at a fast-paced BI startup, I worked closely with product, development, sales-engineering and implementation teams to: // empathize with and address key user frustrations // ship timely features and enhancements that close contracts // plan for future releases based on user research, business goals, and executive vision I shipped over 50 features and enhancements distributed across 10+ releases. My work has had direct impact on both business and user, helping close and renew contracts and enabling customers' go-live. My most involved work had been in the complete redesign of the application (built on a new front-end framework), as well as addressing the associated release and implementation challenges. ### User Experience Design Student @ General Assembly Jan 2016 – Jan 2016 Worked individually and collaboratively on projects centered on user research, interaction design, and rapid prototyping to solve real world problems with actual clients from San Francisco. //BioMedLink web collaboration platform: Designed a demo prototype of a collaboration platform that allows entities who serve low-resource settings with biomedical supplies to discover products, connect with innovators, and partner with other entities to deliver the best supplies for each relief context. //LifeLock habit changing mobile app: Utilized game mechanics while re-designing LifeLock’s mobile app, to solve their problem of communicating ID protection best practices to their customers in a manner that motivated behavior change. Presented research collected through surveys and interviews in the form of personas and a user journey, along with hi-fi wireframes. //Cole Hardware e-commerce website: Re-designed the Cole Hardware e-commerce site to create a seamless purchasing process that incorporated current best practices. Delivered a click-through prototype inspired by insights collected from card sorting, a competitive analysis, and a business opportunity analysis. //MyRoute rapid mobile prototype: Prototyped an iOS app that helped users navigate unexpected commute disruptions ### Research Associate @ NASA Ames Research Center Jan 2015 – Jan 2015 | Mountain View, California Iteratively researched and developed a nano-material testing configuration and procedure. ### Process Development Engineering Intern @ Plasmatreat Jan 2015 – Jan 2015 Developed and tested plasma-treatment processes for several R&D phase projects and recommended further actions based on data collected and analyzed from treated materials. ### Marketing & Media Relations Intern @ CAIR-SFBA Jan 2014 – Jan 2014 | Santa Clara, CA Created, managed, and improved upon email marketing (mailchimp) and online advertising (Google Ads) through data analysis and A/B testing. ### Operations Team @ Hidaya Foundation Jan 2011 – Jan 2014 • Executed the In-Kind Donations project; managing over 30 volunteers during container loading days and excelled at donor service in spite of multiple donor requests. • Demonstrated organizational skills by maximizing space and work rate efficiency at warehouse. • Researched educational and religious information for all of Hidaya's non-profit projects as well as executed financial deposits. ### Internet Marketing Summer Intern @ AyadiPro Inc Jan 2010 – Jan 2010 • Created Facebook, Youtube, and Twitter accounts for client search engine optimization. • Trained in the basics of HTML coding by embedding at least 10 games into CEO’s personal game website. ## Education ### User Experience Design General Assembly Jan 2015 – Jan 2015 ### Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering San José State University Jan 2011 – Jan 2015 ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/ahmadbadr1 - Portfolio: https://uxbyahmad.webflow.io --- Source: https://flows.cv/ahmadbadr JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/ahmadbadr/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-25
