I sprinkle some pink salt over it though 😜: Took Cur8’s investment platform (Web+ Mobile + Design System) from 0-1 through user-centered approach which resulted in: - 77%+ retention rate in all steps of a heavily regulated onboarding process. 💀 This isn't your "signin with google". We TEST the user. Yes. There is a freaking quiz that if they fail twice, they cannot do again for 24 hours. the only thing I couldn't improve was making them eligible, because doing so would've made FCA lock me behind bars. Wait, Free food and cheap accommodation in London? Maybe I should think about it! - Added £2.02M Million towards AUM (Revenue) by redoing payment flow. Hey hey hey! *proceeds to put all the humility on the side table 👑* I had to convince the team for 6 months to prioritise this one and redid the flow so user only worries about one thing a time. This made the flow longer but wayyy easier. - Doubled commitment ratio from 32% to 60%. This was a consequence of the point above. I am just milking the payment flow 🐄🥛 I: - designed mobile app and its performance surpassed the web platform in less than 6 months. - built highly scalable systems that work throughout mobile and web apps. - did 20+ direct improvements through both direct React code and Cursor AI in our codebase. - conducted multiple surveys, user interviews, user testing sessions. - wrote countless product briefs - advocated for redoing flows that delivered measurable results. - did user interviews, typeform/maze surveys & user testing, collecting/cur8ting mixpanel/hubspot/google analytics/looker insights. - took screenshots of teammates for HUGEE custom slack emoji selection. (I am the biggest contributor. no cap!) ### Founding Product Designer/Manager @ Islamic Finance Guru Jan 2021 – Jan 2026 | London Area, United Kingdom ### Product/Project Manager @ IDEATE Innovation Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 for normal people: annoyed my manager by buying macs, paying for sketch, abstract and invision instead of using free emails and XD (its not an emoji, its a dead horse 🐎 by Adobe). Team and clients smiled a lot more in presentations afterwards though which makes it worth it. for serious people: Managed product design team at IDEATE for multiple projects with UAE banks. Mobile/ Web + corporate and standard accounts. I: - Added more sticky notes to the office glass walls. - Improved team processes and boosted productivity and collaboration by at least 7x over the course of 2 years. (💡 The 7x is my best guess, could be more. I spent all the productivity measuring budget on actual productivity.) - Spent a few days researching with IDEO, (yes THAT IDEO) - Worked MobileLIVE, Bill&Melinda Gates Foundation, and more. - Listened to instrumental music alongside reading a book while going to the office 🎵📖 (what more can a man want from life). ### Founding Product Designer @ IDEATE Innovation Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 ### Professor of Design @ Riphah International University Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 ranted nonstop for two semesters to a room full of snapchat addicts. they gave me the title of best teacher in exchange for pizza at the end. 🍕 ### Product Designer @ Motive Jan 2017 – Jan 2018 | San Francisco Bay Area first product design job. Felt like being stuff in a the washing machine and spun hard due to the difference of expectations between an agency and a product company. Hated the same shade of blue everywhere although this is where I learnt how design works and scales at enterprises. They were using sketch, abstract, invision and craft. Within a few months, I became the top contributor of screens on invision (invision showed who updated screens and how much, P.S its nothing to be proud of, maybe most of my iterations weren’t good enough💩 I: - Led Smart Dashcam (Later turned into AI Dashcam) - Redesigned Self Checkout Experience that saved 100K/year in revenue. - Learnt how design & design system is maintained at enterprise level. (Utilised this in IDEATE innovation afterwards) ### Designer/ Project Manager @ Eikon7 Jan 2015 – Jan 2016 from making lemonades 🍋 to taking photos of apartments for making virtual tour, I did it all. Handled clients and worked on branding & social media design in between 🧑‍🎨 This is where I learnt that the local industry isn’t ready for the level of craft international market is operating at and I soon left branding and started to focus on product design. ### Designer (Intern) @ Mello Agency Jan 2014 – Jan 2014 went to learn UI/UX but chose to waste time in VFX instead even though my mentor advised against it. I have a foggy memory of deep design discussions on metro design by Microsoft & coke's banding strategies.
