I bring both a childlike sense of curiosity and perpetual beginner's mind along with an experienced, resourceful eye to solving technical problems and find debugging to be the most delightful aspect of programming.  I make a killer run-on sentence, excel at building empathy and camaraderie within and across teams, and have a reputation for fostering a zen sense of calm in inevitable stressful work situations. Also, I love chosen family, muay thai, pool, motorcycles, skateboarding, fishing, petting any animal that will let me or just waving to them if they won't, and making best friends w strangers (esp in other countries, ideally starting with pool and ending in dinner with their family). Being obsessed with skating, fighting, and fishing since childhood taught me early on that "failure" is just an everyday part of life that can't take the joy out of the things you really love, which for me includes programming (and gave me a lot of helpful resilience in the process.) It's called skating, not landing; it's called fishing, not catching... :) <3 I still hope to catch an elusive steelhead when I grow up.
