# Aishwarya Padmanabha > SDE 2 @ Amazon Web Services | MSCS Alumnus @ Northeastern University | GHCI Scholar Location: Greater Seattle Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/aishwaryapadmanabha Programming languages: Java, Python, SQL, C, C++ Web Technologies: JavaScript, ReactJS / React, Redux, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Reactstrap, REST Database and Cloud: MySQL, Firebase, AWS Frameworks and Tools: Docker, Git, Gradle, Maven, Junit, Jest, Pandas Operating Systems: Linux, Unix, Windows UI/UX: Adobe XD, Figma My fondness for technology started back when I was around two years old, calling my father via “Yahoo Messenger” everyday. I was always keen to know the fundamentals and working principles of a computer and the profound applications of software. This made me appreciate the working and power of good hardware and software. It is this excitement that propelled me to choose the field of Computer Science for my Undergraduate degree and now, my Master’s degree. From coding my first “hello world!” program just over five years ago, to coding large blocks of code for my various projects now, it has been a delightful beginning to my journey into the world of Computer Science! I worked with Adapt Ready Inc., as a Software Consultant. Through my experience at Adapt Ready I realized I can learn new skills and adapt to technologies based on the need of the moment, hastily, with utmost enthusiasm and dedication! Through the course of my Master’s at Northeastern University, I gained exposure to using design patterns, object oriented programming and unit testing. I also learnt to build dynamic front-end applications using React with a focus on making applications accessible. I then learnt about data mining, docker, and scalabale distributed systems! Apart from coding, I love networking and communities! The tech community has whole heartedly welcomed me with lots of love and help whenever necessary. I only wish to give back to the community and help future technologists pave their way through the tech world. Being involved with PyLadies Bengaluru opened my eyes to how I can contribute to the tech community, it’s a journey I trust will never end. All the above experiences, be it technical or non technical, have shaped me into a better candidate to fit into the position of a software developer. I now hope to join hands with you or your company in building clean, readable, maintainable, modular software and establish a better future for everyone. ## Work Experience ### Software Development Engineer @ Amazon Web Services (AWS) Jan 2021 – Present | Arlington, Virginia, United States ### Lead Graduate Teaching Assistant @ Northeastern University Jan 2021 – Jan 2021 | Seattle, Washington, United States ### Graduate Teaching Assistant @ Northeastern University Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 | Seattle, Washington, United States • Facilitate labs to bridge the gap towards Object Oriented Programming for students new to computer science. • Grade assignments by going through 1000+ lines of code per student per assignment on a weekly basis. • Provide support and feedback to students throughout the course about programming design patterns and how to choose them. • Peer review resumes for 100+ students. • Organize mentoring sessions. ### Software Consultant @ Adapt Ready Jan 2019 – Jan 2019 | Bengaluru, Karnataka, India • Automatized dynamically populating a natural calamity database by building a python script to tap into GDACS RSS feed and translate resulting JSON data into a database using PostgreSQL. • Executed distributed system architecture for identifying manufacturing units that lie in the region of natural calamities by analyzing GeoTIFF data and classifying into categories of danger. • Optimized time taken to establish relationship between supply chain keywords from 10 seconds to 2 seconds by performing pre-processing of unstructured news articles used to train the machine learning model. • Created accessible front-end features using HTML, CSS and React to enable customers to view manufacturing facility details based on custom risk scores. • Designed and implemented U-Net architecture to perform building extraction using GeoTIFF images to examine buildings for quality inspection. Additionally, I got wonderful opportunities to network! ### Intern @ Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology Jan 2018 – Jan 2018 | Bangalore • Utilized pandas and built a python script to automate generating unique codes for workshop attendees using Anita Borg’s technical workshop database at Grace Hopper Celebration India, 2018. • Spearheaded a three day workshop for mentoring women in technology comprising 300 mentors and 4500 mentees. ## Education ### Master of Science - MS in Computer Science Northeastern University ### Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science Visvesvaraya Technological University ### 12th grade SKCH Pre University College ### 10th grade National Public School, Rajajinagar ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/aishwarya-padmanabha --- Source: https://flows.cv/aishwaryapadmanabha JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/aishwaryapadmanabha/resume.json Last updated: 2026-04-05
