Hi! I’m Ajay Krishna Chekati, a Full-Stack AI Engineer with 5+ years of industry experience across backend, frontend, blockchain, and Generative AI development. I enjoy building scalable, real-world systems that combine performance with great user experience.

Over the years, I’ve built robust backend services using Node.js, Golang, and Python—working with microservices, and real-time APIs. My work includes fault-tolerant transaction systems, automation tools, and high-performance APIs that power large-scale platforms.

On the frontend side, I’ve developed responsive interfaces with React and WebSocket integrations for live applications like peer-to-peer trading and sports betting.

I’m deeply passionate about AI. At the University of Memphis, I’ve led the development of a GenAI-powered platform that uses LLMs for real-time student feedback. I’ve also explored local fine-tuning and deployment of open-source models on NVIDIA GPUs. Currently, I’m learning to build scalable AI agents and exploring Model Context Protocols (MCPs) to connect modular AI systems.

In the blockchain space, I’ve developed provably fair gaming systems using smart contracts, cryptographic randomness, and Web3 infrastructure on Ethereum.

## Work Experience
### Graduate Research Assistant @ The University of Memphis
Jan 2025 – Jan 2025 | Memphis, Tennessee, United States
As a Computer Science Researcher at the University of Memphis, I led the development of GPTA, an AI-powered educational platform that uses LLMs to automatically grade student responses, detect misconceptions, and give real-time feedback. I built the backend using Golang, GORM, and MySQL, and the frontend in React.js. This system reduced grading time by 95% and enabled instructors to support twice as many students.

My research focused on evaluating the cost-effectiveness and performance of locally hosting open-source LLMs versus using commercial APIs like OpenAI. I benchmarked models on NVIDIA H100 GPUs and explored tools such as Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, and Ollama for lightweight deployment.

### Software Engineer @ Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions

At Robert Bosch, I worked as a Backend Developer focused on automating internal workflows and building tools that improved system reliability and operational efficiency. I also automated social media sharing and built tools to track user behavior.
