I am also responsible for writing and maintaining features for the software as well as fixing bugs. I have fixed over 300 issues/features and improved the performance of the application 10 times. Maintaining and creating APIs for the website's Node.js server from scratch. 2. Implemented a server that handles all the image upload/download from the website. The performance was optimized to 12x of the original. The server is running on GAE(Python). 3. Optimized and improved search relevance for the site. Improved DCG from 0.4 to 0.68. Mostly optimizations were made to ElasticSearch. For this search data was collected(in BigQuery) and then analyzed. 4. Migrated the infrastructure and MongoDB from AWS to GCP without downtime. 5. Build a personalized recommendation system that boosted conversion rate. ### Collaborator @ The Center for Connected Learning and Computer-Based Modeling Jan 2016 – Jan 2017 I am working on the product NetLogo developed by this organization. The main area in which i am working is the NetLogo IDE. Most of the code is in Scala with a some parts in Java. Most of the work is related to Core Java. I am mainly working on the maintenance and upgrade of Contribution Manager for Processing. ### Coder @ Google Summer of Code at NetLogo Jan 2016 – Jan 2016 The project was to add many features to the NetLogo desktop editor. All of the code written was in Scala. The project includes adding features like Auto Complete, Jump to Definition, Show Usage and Undo/Redo support for the GUI editing. The company has a website at http://www.fellahomes.com/ . I developed the front-end for the website and used Angular. The framework used here was Laravel. ### Coder @ Google Summer of Code at Processing Jan 2015 – Jan 2015 The aim of the project was to develop an easy to use UI for the libraries installation manager in Processing. The UI of the Contribution Manager was significantly updated. The previous version used to make separate JComponents for every row, this causes a significant lag even with multi-threading. This structure was changed to use a JTable, which is much faster and can easily provide more functionality like sorting, movement of the columns, etc. ### Intern @ LST Tchnologies Jan 2014 – Jan 2015 | Himachal Pradesh, India Managed the back-end code in a startup for an Android application “Tving”. The back-end was written in Java , database used is Google Datastore. Server used was Google App Engine with Google Endpoints. The libraries used for the recommendation are Mahout and JBLAS and Google Compute Engine was the hosting platform. Authentication was done using Shiro.
