# Akhilesh Rangani > Founding Engineer @tambo ai | Building @GitWit.dev | MS CS @GWU Location: San Francisco, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/akhilesh As a teenager, I was the kid my family and friends went to when their phone or laptop stopped working. I was the go-to person for fixing things and figuring stuff out. Today, not much has changed. I’m still the first point of call for technical problems — except now that curiosity has turned into building real software. After my undergrad, I leaned into my entrepreneurial side and started a company at 20, worked on it for a year, and then decided to go deeper by pursuing a Master’s in Computer Science at The George Washington University. Right now, I work full-time as a Founding Engineer at Tambo AI, where I build core product and developer tooling. I work across the stack and spend most of my time making things actually ship and hold up in production. Alongside this, I lead the engineering for TeachAnything.ai (formerly AI Alexa), an open-source platform that helps professors turn their course materials into custom AI teaching assistants. It started as a rough experiment and is now used by faculty around the world — also featured in The New York Times. I’m also active in open source and work on GitWit.dev, building parts of the cloud IDE, sandboxed execution, and developer workflows. Outside of work, I like making videos and documenting life through my camera.
