Shortly after earning my BFA in Interior Design in 2009, I entered the industry practicing my major, while also creating custom furnishings for my clientele. This allowed me to merge Furniture and Interior Design, creating fully custom spaces from the structure to the upholstery. This foundation of my career was built predominantly during my 5 years working as a Senior designer for Voi Artis in Amman, Jordan. I have since relocated to the United States, gained a Masters Degree in Furniture Design, and am now working towards the next career chapter in my life. ## Work Experience ### Furniture Designer @ Pottery Barn Jan 2021 – Present | United States ### Interior Design Specialist @ Scott Shuptrine Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 | Shelby, Michigan, United States Provided a unique customized design experience for clientele. Role consisted of measuring property, then curating a selection of luxury home products to furnish client's space. This included a wide variety of inventory suggestions from wall & window treatments, to furniture and flooring. Role also included support on sales floor to ensure customer satisfaction. ### Monitor, Fabrication @ Savannah College of Art and Design Jan 2018 – Jan 2019 | Savannah, Georgia Area Monitor fabrication of projects in university tool shop, to ensure that the students of the university are utilizing the tools offered in a safe, productive manner. Role may also involve helping the students troubleshoot their assignments by sharing fabrication experience. ### Senior Designer, Furniture & Interiors @ Voi Artis Jan 2011 – Jan 2016 | Amman, Jordan Began role as Associate Designer, then soon promoted to a Senior Designer role working directly with Creative Director developing strategy and designs for the production of spaces and pieces including independent indoor and outdoor furniture collections as well as high level residential, commercial or other private interior installations. Interaction consisted of meeting with new and existing clients, determining needs, then creating designs to fit site measurements. Skill set consisted of research, design, drafting, presenting and installing or planning the manufacturing of each strategic design.
