Worked with a team on a software development project to create an iOS app and prototype React Native app that interfaced over Bluetooth low-energy with Tynt's electronically controllable windows.
Phase 1: Led the redesign and development of the Tynt IoT iOS app, transitioning from UIKit to SwiftUI and engineering a new backend and frontend to work with a single Tynt window with Bluetooth Low Energy in 6-8 weeks, using Jira for project management and task tracking.
Phase 2: Conducted UX research and designed UI solutions for a cross-platform app, using Figma to create 10+ storyboards and wireframes, working with feedback from the marketing team and engineering team to increase client satisfaction with re-designs.
• Decided on a React Native-based IoT solution utilizing Typescript(Javascript) and CSS for window tint control and created a multi-window connection interface that connects to windows and is compatible with smart window systems for automated tint adjustment.
• Collaborated and extended on a modular backend while focusing on frontend components for easier access to a Tinting interface.
• Improved the design and connected smart bulbs to the Bluetooth interface as well as allowing the user to create a Smart Home System.
• Implemented data logging at intervals to help the hardware debug and improve tinting and lighting efficiency.
