Primarily responsible for maintaining large Rails app consisting of e-commerce platform, external API, and internal admin tooling. Accomplishments include:
  - Overhauled handling of holiday gift-giving deadlines from hard-coded data to a flexible, self-service tool that allows internal users to create accurate deadlines, update them as needed based on production load, and set customer-facing messaging without requiring engineering work or deploys.
  - Fixed service that generates large numbers of random promotional codes for direct mailing to reduce its speed from 4+ hours down to 10 minutes by focusing on improvements to SQL queries and algorithm performance.
  - Designed and built new delivery estimation service that improves accuracy of estimates as well as new internal tools for users to update SLA settings on their own and get insight into how estimates are being calculated.
  - Worked closely with accounting and marketing teams to support new partnerships and to improve service in existing areas of business, including building new services to automate creation of gift card batches for third-party retailers and adding features to enable bulk purchasing for commercial partners
  - Mentored junior and mid-level engineers through pairing and code review
  - Acted as main point of contact with outside contractor organization hired to update our app to a more modern version of the Spree e-commerce platform.
