Backend engineer managing sending of member communications - push/email/sms

Honeybadgers Team:

• Enabled proxysql for another flavor of databases

• Designed & deployed dockerized database sharding infrastructure

Core team:

• Migrated the entire properties configuration model to Spring cloud config server.

• Created infrastructure by writing terraform to create the AWS resources

• Migrated all configuration properties from the old chef model to Spring config profiles

• Rolled out Spring config server to the testing, preview, and production environments

• Dockerized and migrated the org creation service to ECS in preview and production environments

• Created a deep healthcheck framework that verifies essential states of underlying services upon startup

Core team -

• Upgraded all of the main codebase from Java 1.7 to 1.8. Involved code changes, fixing broken tests, and rolling out canaries/upgrades through dev/production environments

• Implemented a logging framework that logs all JMX calls in Splunk

• Created an IP whitelisting feature that protects an org from hitting rate-limits during a DDOS attack

• Updated and fixed security packages to comply with known vulnerabilities and exploits
