TLDR; Building search platform for parts.
After I got my Masters degree in CS in 2012, I started working as a solo-developer on my personal projects. I founded AKM Services without any funding as a simple web search-service to help people find parts for their cars and trucks and get the best prices for them. After 4.5 years of hard work, I was able to grow the company into a stable, successful business and sell it.
AKM Services is a part search platform for the third-party car-parts sellers. Nowadays this platform provides more than 5mln listed parts from more than 100 different third-party parts’ shops across multiple regions (Russia and Kazakhstan)
Achievements:
With minimal funding at the beginning, I was able to build the profitable company and get it acquired.
In those 4 years AKM SERVICES:
•helped more than 10'000 customers
•increased valuation by 8000%
During the years of working on my startup, I confronted and solved with my team a variety of interesting technical problems, managed to survive in limited resources and become profitable after a half a year of work.
