# Alec Emmons > Product & Experience Design Principal | Co-founder, builder, musician — from proofs to patents, recording studios to platforms serving billions Location: Portland, Oregon Metropolitan Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/alecemmons Over 15 years building products and experiences across entertainment, tech, and culture. My work has reached audiences through Sundance award-winning films, connected TV platforms for CBS and ESPN, theatrical concert films, interactive campaigns for Condé Nast, InStyle, and Refinery29, and projects with artists and labels including Roc Nation, Rihanna, The Who, Smashing Pumpkins, Miley Cyrus, and Jay-Z's Life+Times. I've co-founded companies, built video intelligence tools at IRIS.TV, designed gallery spaces and museum buildouts for ICA LA, and I continue to work with artists of all mediums across the world. Currently I'm Product & Experience Design Principal at Aduna Global, a joint venture between Ericsson and 12 of the world's largest carriers — AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, Jio, Bridge Alliance, and others whose networks serve roughly five billion people. I'm obsessed with how developers and enterprises touch our product surface — how they find what they need, see how our standardized APIs fit into their own products and services, and get from curiosity to integration with confidence. When they hit hard product and engineering problems along the way, I prototype alongside them. I started on the stealth team that brought the Aduna brand to market at MWC '25. Surprising even for my own journey through culture, I was previously recruited to lead the product design implementation and consumer handheld buildout for a Network Slicing + Quality on Demand app (Dynamic End-user Boost) at Ericsson — iOS, Android, and web, testing with carriers like Bell Canada (~10M subscribers) and SmartTone Hong Kong (~2.6M subscribers), field-tested on carrier networks, conclusions fed directly into product direction. Two patents pending. Whether I'm designing a developer platform or key art for a film, the job is the same: make someone feel something precise, then make sure it works at scale. How I work: • Turn ambiguity into shape — crisp problem statements, strong interface choices, a build plan the team can execute • Design for confidence — make the right action obvious without dumbing anything down • Build systems, not one-offs — tokens, components, patterns, and governance that scale • Operate in showtime conditions — demos, launches, exec briefings, partner moments Musician. Designed and built dual-platform system: enterprise management portal (configuration, monitoring, access control, analytics) and white-label consumer-facing application (built to be branded by carriers and touched by their tens of millions of subscribers). Piloted with SmarTone (Hong Kong) and Bell (Canada), deploying to Hong Kong for live network testing. Co-inventor on two patents; awarded Ericsson Key Contributor (top ~100 out of 100K+ employees).
