Learned Elixir and Phoenix to support the new full-stack MVC application that replaced the legacy cars.com.

Acted as a lead frontend engineer, provided guidance and feedback during development of the new Phoenix app.

Lead efforts to champion Accessibility & semantic HTML on application. Spread knowledge through presentations and code reviews.

Worked on frontend app for legacy cars.com using a mix of Javascript, Handlebars, and Angular I. Refactored Angular I components into Javascript & Handlebars. Completed significant upgrade from webpack v1 to v4.

Worked on a new Front-End platform using Node.js and React. Built routes that use server-side rendering and integrated Redux. Wrote unit tests in Jest and Enzyme to ensure 100% coverage. Contributed to development on head tag management and integration of CSS Modules.

Acted as a liaison for contracted Andela engineers, gathered requirements and stories for their projects, and onboarded them to the Rails 4 app

Completed a CMS in Rails to handle creation of “shop” landing pages(e.g. raise.com/shop/chicago) for marketing campaign efforts. Integrated with Redis for data storage.

Fixed bugs and provided technical support for the Rails 4 legacy app.

Extended the RESTful API for Rails 3 & 4 services in order to provide more customer and payment information from the legacy app.

Provided support to junior engineers and new employees. Paired with product owners to write stories and clarify acceptance criteria.

Provided development support for Rails legacy app used to handle financial products such as payday and installment loans.
