LI IDEA is LinkedIn's customized version of the JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA IDE. LI IDEA provides LinkedIn developers with an IDE pre-configured for working with LinkedIn's code bases (Java, Python, Scala, JavaScript, etc.) and conforming to LinkedIn's coding conventions. In addition, LI IDEA includes LinkedIn proprietary plugins, which provides a number of LinkedIn development enhancements including support for directly working with LinkedIn technologies, frameworks and workflows. We develop and support internal custom language plugins for internal frameworks.

LI IDEA integrates with LinkedIn's JIRA and Review Board services in order to help developers to be more productive with their day to day activities.

You can perform code reviews from within LI IDEA. The full power of the IDE (i.e. conducting reviews, comments, 'ship-it' approvals, apply code patch to current project, navigation to class implementations, search, colorization) is available within the code review. Reviews in the IDE are 100% compatible and interoperable with Review Board (https://www.reviewboard.org/).
