# Alexandra Holcombe > Frontend Developer | Passionate about usability, accessibility, and client satisfaction Location: Issaquah, Washington, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/alexandraholcombe By engaging in a career as a web developer, I have managed to delight my eleven-year-old self and mortify the sixteen-year-old aspiring novel editor who made all of my higher-ed decisions. Every code review is accompanied by a free dog story that you've heard at least twice before and some strong opinions on blank lines. Dogs and whitespace aside, my approach to development is heavily influenced by my history in retail management. Application development is a team game and good communication, documentation, and teamwork all influence the process as much as (or more than) quality of code and knowledge of technology do. On the sales floor, I was known for advocating for product and process education, because more knowledge makes a better salesperson and satisfied customers. I pursue the same position at the keyboard. While a holistic understanding of a large application may not be possible, I believe that a dev "should not Jira in a blind box." My professional development experience has largely been working with React in a variety of stacks, including backends built with .NET and SpringBoot. My current personal project is building a PWA with React, GraphQL with Apollo tools, and Typescript. ## Work Experience ### Senior Software Engineer @ Drata Jan 2023 – Present ### Senior Frontend Engineer @ Appcues Jan 2021 – Jan 2023 • Designed, developed, and tested features for the Studio dashboard and administration product and Sonar design system • Collaborated with the team to modernize the Studio stack, leveraging GraphQL, Typescript, and SWR to create a faster and more consistent product experience, resulting in improved performance and higher user satisfaction • Developed new features for Mobile Flows and Pins, including improved Flows List page, Flow Performance page, and enhanced settings and analytics pages • Co-led efforts to build a brand new design system with a focus on accessibility and reusability across all products, collaborating closely with product designers to develop an aligned design language and standards • Owned Storybook documentation, guidelines, and codebase.
