When ReadyWhen was 8 months old, I joined as the 3rd engineer, becoming an integral part of shaping both our technical foundation and company culture. I dove headfirst into estate planning software development, rapidly expanding my contributions to our notary portal and client portal as we grew.
One year in, our small team of engineers built Goveyance from scratch - a brand new product for real estate legal professionals that at that stage required thoughtful tradeoffs about what to build versus what we could safely descope to get something valuable to users quickly.
After two successful years as a front-end engineer, I volunteered to expand my skillset and was promoted to full-stack engineer as we looked to grow our backend team.
This startup journey has given me invaluable experience: I've owned features from conception to delivery, worked closely with product and design teams to suggest technical improvements by communicating complex ideas in simple terms, and there is not a feature in the app I haven't worked on.
in 2025 Goveyance received a majority investment from Teranet Inc (backed by OMERS) - a validation of the product I’ve worked on from the very beginning.
