By showing different data such as 3D models, point clouds, and panorama together, the prototype provides context, giving the data even more value. The prototype was developed in C++, using the OGRE engine to render the 3D environment. An Oculus Rift, and a Razer Hydra controller were used to immerse the user into the environment. Over the course of the internship, I not only had to develop the prototype, but I had to research about the different issues we were trying to solve, and find solution to problems that did not yet have one, such as how to assemble the different media types, and how to align them properly.
