Backend engineer on two teams under Uber's Driver Experience umbrella, where we built highly scalable and available systems to facilitate tens of millions of trips per day. I helped build the driver app's content delivery feed, which was eventually adopted by the rider team, too. As a key contributor on the team that stewards trip experience, I helped design and deliver various features for drivers across the world, such as improved arrival detection, paid wait time, and safety workflows.
I also helped advance company-wide engineering initiatives focused on high availability, such as migrating to at-least-once delivery queues, and contributed to designing & rebuilding the primary mobile API gateway used by teams across the company.

Defined performance & acceptance test plans for Salesforce's Chatter and Self-Service products
Automated headless performance tests with Java & Selenium
Designed and built an internal monitoring tool for viewing page load times as a heatmap, using JavaScript and jQuery, to help identify performance bottlenecks
