Volley is now Weekend!
I joined the company as a career-transition engineer from hospitality and spent 4.5 years shipping features across five projects across 5 different platforms. My work spans zero-to-one product development, architectural migrations, and UX experimentation, with measurable impact on conversion, retention, and feature velocity.
Jeopardy! (2025–Present)
Co-led the migration to a multiplayer-first architecture, reducing feature delivery timelines from months to weeks and enabling the Party Mode MVP.
Rebuilt the audio system, increasing paid conversion by 10% and first-game completion by 13.4% while eliminating a persistent “No Sound” bug.
Designed the SceneLoaderService to improve rendering and remove transition flickering.
Resolved key production issues including memory leaks, race conditions, and state transition bugs.
Wheel of Fortune (2023–2024)
Co-built Wheel of Fortune from the ground up with one other engineer, delivering the MVP in 2 months across UI, game logic, state management, and analytics.
Led the Guided Fallbacks experiment using Amplitude, improving trial-to-paid conversions by 1.1% and reducing fallbacks by 8.2% (consecutive) and 2.3% (overall), later rolled out to 100% of users.
Architected the bot gameplay system (“Phantom Opponents”) and co-built Daily Toss Up mode end-to-end.
Question of the Day (2022–2023)
Refactored using SOLID principles for a production Alexa skill serving millions of users.
Maintained internationalization across 5 locales (en-US, en-GB, es, pt, fr).
Delivered 15+ A/B experiments that improved subscription flows and engagement.
Backchannel (2021–2022)
Built a stats tracking plugin integrating Firebase/Firestore, cloud functions, and automated alerts.
Created the team’s first apprenticeship rubric based on insights from my daily dev journal, establishing a structured development path for new engineers.
