I’m Alex Shang, a recent manufacturing/mechanical engineering graduate from the University of Cambridge. I’ve had extensive experience with design engineering at Tesla and Dyson.  I have also studied Industrial Design at RISD.

• Improved our AI-powered auto-grouting robot’s motor-load efficiency through a redesign of its extrusion system. In charge of mechanical architecture and overall packaging efficiency.
• Designed a split muff coupling solution for optimal motor-gearbox pairing.
• Pioneered FEA simulations of complex mechatronics systems including force loops to ensure robustness of the robot.
