# Alex Tov > UX Designer Location: San Francisco, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/alextov I'm a UX Designer with the goal of designing, improving, and delivering products that better the experiences of their users. I love stepping into our user's shoes to learn their needs and goals, designing mockups and prototypes based on that data, communicating the designs to my teammates, and seeing it through until delivery. That's people-centric design to me, and it's an exciting (and iterative) process that's got me fascinated. If you're interested in connecting or chatting, feel free to send me a message! ## Work Experience ### Product Designer @ ComfyUI Jan 2025 – Present | San Francisco, California, United States ### UX Designer @ VEU Jan 2024 – Jan 2025 • Established our design process and design system, streamlining consistent design and development across our websites and Enterlink, a platform for creating, managing, and discovering online events and communities. • Designed and prototyped Enterlink’s entire UI, while ensuring intuitive and straightforward UX for our feature flows. • Conduct research through surveys and user testing to improve current user flows and validate new features. Rewarded participants with on-platform badges to encourage engagement. • Work cross-functionally to facilitate design hand-offs to ensure user-need fulfillment and alignment between design and development. ### UI/UX Designer @ Artist Crowdfund Exchange Jan 2021 – Jan 2022 As a UI/UX Designer at ACE, designing and overseeing the full lifecycle of many core features, from ideation to shipment, was just one of my many responsibilities. Aside from my usual research and design duties, I collaborated with the founders to expand my skillset in areas I didn't quite expect a UI/UX Designer to delve into. From designing pitch decks for investors excited about Web3, creating presentations for conferences and fashion shows, to creating promo images and gifs of app screens for marketing material, the time I spent with ACE is definitely an experience I'll hold onto. Below were my key responsibilities and the accomplishments I'm most proud of: • Established our design process and design system, which boosted design and development efficiency, solidified brand identity, and increased consistency throughout the app. • Led design and prototyping sessions to enhance alignment with developers, notably reducing shipment times for projects and features. • Guided monthly UX-focused feature backlog prioritizations to strike a balance between company goals and user needs. • Designed and launched 3 major features (Onboarding, Events, Profiles), accounting for majority of the app’s screens at release. The Profiles feature alone increased DAU by 12% in its first week by presenting users with enhanced profile personalization options. • Collaborated with company founders to create pitch decks for prospective stakeholders and seed fundraising. ### UI/UX Designer @ Alike Jan 2021 – Jan 2021 • Worked directly with the CEO to conceptualize and design features to drive product growth and user engagement. • Converted static mockup screens into interactive prototypes to better help developers visualize app features and functionality. • Increased user conversion rate from 20% to 65% by identifying and solving a critical issue with our onboarding flow which had deterred users from signing up. ### UI/UX Designer @ Hon Media Jan 2020 – Jan 2021 • Spearheaded the company’s blog website development by implementing an iterative design process. • Organized and guided design critique sessions with project managers and software developers to showcase usability flows and features. • Ensured the web & mobile responsiveness and styling of the blog site by utilizing Tailwind CSS to edit properties of our React components in our front-end code. ### Computing Services Technical Assistant @ UC San Diego Extension Jan 2017 – Jan 2020 | United States • Diagnosed and resolved technical issues that our end-users (instructors) encountered during class sessions such as projector/audio and wifi connectivity issues. Conducted over the phone and in person. • Improved our IT team’s productivity by reorganizing computer components based on their frequency of usage and updating documentation and diagrams for those components. • Upgraded computer hardware (RAM, memory, hard drives) and updated software (Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, installed apps) of our campus administrative staff’s PCs and iMacs. ## Education ### B.S.
