Concepted + wireframed ten distinct applications, consolidated into one ■ Delivered development-ready wires for Oppenheimer Funds’ iPad app within given time frame to client satisfaction ■ Successfully incorporated client needs, requirements, and industry compliance through an iterative process ### UX Researcher and Designer | Consultant @ Derby Games Jan 2014 – Jan 2014 | New York, NY Derby Games is a New York City-based mobile gaming company focused on live horse racing and online betting. GOAL: Optimize a new game unique in its category (a blend of lotto and horse betting) to ensure the intended audience not only understood how to play but wanted to play. METHOD: Improve the existing game design by rapidly prototyping, user testing on the field (where users would actually be playing the game) and iterating incorporating research findings and business goals. ■ MARKET AND FIELD RESEARCH: Deployed a nation-wide survey and conducted user interviews across five states on behaviors and attitudes towards the national lottery and horse racing. We conducted contextual inquiries on several stores selling lottery products in New York City. ■ DESIGN + TESTING: Created testable hi-fidelity prototypes of the initial design and conducted in-field and remote usability and viability testing. Collaborating with the lead visual designer, we created two new design iterations of the game integrating the findings from our previous sessions. ■ RESULTS: Delivered 2 new designs to our client along with a compilation of our usability and viability test findings, a list of obstacles and potential solutions, UI feedback, feature requests, and a repository of video and audio documentation of our user interviews and test. ### User Experience Designer | Consultant @ SWERVE Fitness Jan 2014 – Jan 2014 | New York, NY Swerve Fitness is a boutique indoor cycling studio in New York City. 3-week client Project for General Assembly’s UX Immersive program. I was the project lead for the design of their mobile app along with two other UX designers. GOAL: Create their first mobile app from scratch that will simplify buying and booking classes, as well as ongoing engagement with their classes. ■ RESEARCH: Conducting user interviews and deploying surveys. Competitive and comparative analysis. Extracting and synthesizing data into personas and actionable design parameters. Writing a full research report. ■ DESIGN: Concepting the screens. Testing and iterating on paper prototypes. User testing and iteration on digital prototypes ■ MANAGEMENT: Scoping the project, setting milestones and managing client and deliverables.
