# Ali Nait Slimane > Mississippi State University Graduate Location: New York, New York, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/alinaitslimane Dynamic, Engineer with a strong sense of teamwork and motivation who has earned experience in CAD design, FEA, and programming through work experiences, coursework, and associated engineering activities. Extremely innovative, with a strong sense of leadership and a desire to learn, grow, collaborate, and influence the engineering sector. ## Work Experience ### Product Engineer @ Delta Children Jan 2023 – Present | New York, New York, United States • Designed and developed children's furniture, as well as indoor and outdoor play structures, by converting 2D drawings from the graphic design team into precise 3D models using SolidWorks. • Engineered products for manufacturing using various production methods, including blow molding, injection molding, metal structures (steel), and MDF wood. • Conducted cost analysis to optimize material usage and production efficiency while ensuring product safety and durability. • Collaborated with factories by submitting 3D models, coordinating with manufacturers, and ensuring feasibility in production. • Reviewed and approved product samples to maintain quality, safety standards, and design integrity. ### Engineer I @ Pyro-E Jan 2022 – Jan 2023 | Los Angeles, California, United States • Has been tasked with testing, data collection and analysis, and sensor integration in an autonomous underwater vehicle. • Responsible for of mechanisms motorization using stepper motors, Arduino MCU, and encoder integration. • In charge of CAD design and tolerancing, CAM programming, and technical drawings for mechanical parts using Autodesk Inventor. • Tasked with preparing the BOM (bill of materials) and machining operations including the use of manual and/or CNC machines, as well as 3D printing. • Responsibilities involve daily progress updates to the manager and investors. ### Mechanical system design @ Los Alamos National Laboratory Jan 2021 – Jan 2021 | Los Alamos, New Mexico, United States • Worked with LANL (Los Alamos National Laboratory) on conceptualizing two testbeds for an EDM wire cutting machine to reduce budge effect and the resulted residual stress errors during the cutting process of a 75x50x24 mm 6061-T6 aluminum sample. • Assigned the task of finding optimal clamping mechanisms for both designed testbeds. • Determined and quantified the boundary conditions and the applied loads by the clamping mechanisms on the specimen. • Led and performed the FEA cutting simulation of the aluminum sample in ABAQUS using a pressure plane to simulate the effect of the EDM electric wire. The maximum deformations obtained through the simulations are 0.07 mm for the first and 0.1 mm for the second. ### Senior Design Project @ Mississippi State University Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 | Starkville, Mississippi, United States • Given the task of designing the mechanical aspect of Trash-E, an off-road autonomous trash-collecting robot that operates in big areas such as parks and fields. This project was performed to ease cleaning agents' work and reduce the contact between humans and toxic trash. • Designated the task of finding the most efficient mechanism to collect trash rapidly. • Entrusted of CAD design in CATIA V5 an off-road eight wheels front-drive continuous tracks, which were connected to adequate DC motors. • Responsibilities included CAD design of the sweeper mechanism that drags trash into the bin. To execute the rotational motion, a DC motor was connected to the sweeper's shaft. The 3D printed sweeper collected a variety of rubbish sizes and a maximum trash load of 5 kg with ease. ### Student Ambassador @ Universite Internationale de Rabat Jan 2017 – Jan 2020 | Rabat, Morocco • Worked as a student ambassador and was in charge of organizing and assigning tasks to all team members at events and ceremonies. • Represented the university’s automotive and aerospace department in educational orientation forums for high school graduates. • Participated in the organization of graduation ceremonies by assigning tasks to the team during the ceremony and regalia distribution. • Interviewed students and introduced them to their tasks as ambassador students and all team members. ### Manufacturing Engineer Intern @ Grupo Antolin Jan 2018 – Jan 2018 | Tangier, Morocco • Tasked with improving and optimizing a car roof liner production line to increase the production rate for all of B52, K67, J92, or F67 production families, which enhanced the production by 2 produced pieces per hour and was conform to the LEAN manufacturing policy of the company. • In charge of gathering all the necessary data through timing the production line for all production families to locate where delays occur. • Entrusted the task of proposing a new 3400 bar waterjet cutting trajectory for a faster cut of the roof liner sandwich. • Allocated the task of ensuring the roof liners stocking respects the SMED stocking method. ### Maintenance intern @ Groupe PSA Jan 2017 – Jan 2017 | Rabat, Morocco • Has been tasked with replacing the filtration systems of the cars, including all of the air, oil, and fuel filters. • Has been assigned the task of running a diagnosis to the vehicle's electronics and identifying which parts to replace. • Tasked with replacing the mechatronics of the vehicles such as ABS, EBD, and BA systems. • In charge of the braking system replacement, including the breaking pedal, The brake master cylinder, hydraulic tubes, breaking disks, and pads. ## Education ### Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering Mississippi State University Jan 2021 – Jan 2021 ### Bachelor of Science - BS in automotive engineering Université Internationale de Rabat Jan 2015 – Jan 2020 ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/ali-nait-slimane-787508224 --- Source: https://flows.cv/alinaitslimane JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/alinaitslimane/resume.json Last updated: 2026-04-01
