Responsible for driving exploratory projects in cutting-edge AI technologies, model architectures, and new product directions, managing the entire process from research hypothesis development to experimental validation, and ensuring that the research results are consistent with OpenAI's long-term technical roadmap.

Work closely with research scientists, engineers, product managers, and the security team to identify high-potential AI areas, including model capability extensions, multimodal technologies, agent behavior, security alignment, and inference optimization.

Responsible for driving the entire process of the company's early-stage discovery/exploration projects, from opportunity identification and proof-of-concept to implementation, ensuring that project direction aligns with organizational strategy.

Develop project plans, milestones, risk assessments, and resource allocation to ensure timely and high-quality progress of projects in the exploration phase, while flexibly responding to uncertainties and changes.

Take full responsibility for the project lifecycle, from opportunity assessment, hypothesis design, experiment planning, resource coordination to execution, ensuring alignment with business and user experience goals.

Conduct in-depth market and competitive analysis, leveraging user research, behavioral data, A/B testing, and insights from Google Analytics, BigQuery, and internal machine learning tools to identify new growth opportunities.

I defined IP and SOC architectures. I led multiple SOCs design, verification and a Xilinx FPGA Platform designed for EPSON global design sites. I designed and verified IPs including DMA Controller, Nand Flash Controller, DRAM Controller, AHB Bus Matrix, ECC, 8-bit CPU, SPI, I2C, UART and etc.

I set up the LCD design team leading the team to design and support LCD products for China and Asian customers. The team improved the global LCD design efficiency by 80% through developing automation softwares.
