Collaborated with 13 other engineers on the team to serve and maintain estimated times of arrival (ETAs) requests on a Go service that affects Lyft's main execution path. Collected requirements, wrote a detailed technical spec defining the scope, limitations, goals, and roadmap for the project. Implemented the ETA service features necessary to provide estimates for hundreds of thousands of weekly bike, ebike, and scooter ride ETAs.

Wrote a Spark job to aggregate and analyze data so that other engineers could keep track of important metrics related to their deploys. Developed a custom user agent string parser which worked 40 times faster than third-party parsers to satisfy the core mobile teamʼs need to perform near real time data aggregation. Displaced remaining jobs using Apache Storm, which optimized data processing and decreased the amount of resources allocated to this tool.
