This feature enables customers to use a Large Language Model (LLM) to create new information from their data in blob storage which can be indexed and stored in Azure Search. Instagram has ~2.5 billion users who send billions of messages everyday. - Technical Lead to a team of 3 engineers to render ~100 Instagram thread fields from legacy to new infrastructure. I designed and implemented a technical solution for gatekeeping, running experiments, and shipping projects in batches. - Rearchitected and implemented message rendering logic in Instagram Story Replies and Media Shares from Instagram Direct (Django/Python) to Facebook Messenger’s (Hack/PHP) backend systems. This saved the company ~$500k/year. - Designed and built a debugging tool to securely replay Instagram inbox message fetches, enabling a team of 7 engineers to migrate messaging logic. The tool was built using React, GraphQL, Hack, Python and Thrift. - Migrated IG Direct inbox-fetch logic for professional/creator accounts. This resulted in a 2.3% latency improvement and reduced compute costs by $130k/year. - Managed an intern during the summer of 2022. I scoped out a project and supported them during the internship to successfully deliver the project. ### Software Engineer 2 @ American Express Jan 2018 – Jan 2021 | Phoenix, Arizona Area ● Designed and built Java-based microservices to resolve credit card disputes, modernizing outdated systems, adding features, and reducing resolution time from several seconds to under 400 milliseconds. ● Led the implementation to migrate the org’s CI/CD pipeline from Git Flow to Trunk-based development. This improved our engineering processes by saving 1 hour per production deployment. It also allowed engineers to run the suite of pipeline tests on their local machines. ● Coauthored a code quality guide to help mentor colleagues to follow best engineering practices and meet the organization’s high test coverage requirements. This resulted in all 6 of my manager’s teams to achieve over 95% test coverage across our codebases. ● Developed an API to troubleshoot client connection management for the authorizations team while working full-time on the disputes team. This enabled our org to proceed with its end-to-end testing and helped the program stay on track with its deadlines. ### Cloud and Virtualization Group Software Intern @ Cisco Jan 2015 – Jan 2015 | San Jose, California Created a test suite for Cisco’s Platform Infrastructure in Ruby to test functionality across multiple machines Addressed security risk of privilege escalation by providing only controlled access on restricted networking ports to other softwares Developed Food Alert: a hackathon project to notify fellow employees about free food.
