After working 5 years as a full-stack engineer, I took a leap into UX Design 3 years ago. It allows me to bring a unique perspective to every project, leveraging my engineering background to enhance design solutions.
I drive end-to-end design processes to enhance learner engagement and client satisfaction, ensuring our training programs deliver maximum impact. By harnessing design thinking, I turn complex business challenges into actionable, high-fidelity designs. Some of my key achievements include:
Spearheaded the design of a goal-setting tool that boosted learners' application of new skills on the job by 12%:
•
Led a cross-functional Design Sprint.
•
Tested the concept with 10 learners through interviews and in 22 classrooms, using a low-tech prototype.
•
Analyzed usage and presented results to C-level stakeholders.
•
Designed, tested, and delivered high-fidelity designs.
Introduced an in-app self-assessment tool to measure skill application, establishing the "Apply Rate" metric now used company-wide to track program success:
•
Conducted industry research and learner interviews.
•
Designed and tested the tool with usability testing interviews.
•
Analyzed usage and drove iterative improvements.
•
Presented the feature at company-wide meetings and at trainers' community events, influencing its adoption as a key performance indicator.
Took the lead in creating detailed user journeys that serve as a foundation for ongoing improvements and product prioritization:
•
Learner Journey: Documented the learner experience to facilitate the onboarding of new joiners and identify improvement opportunities, drawing on years of user interviews and quantitative data.
•
Internal Processes: Conducted interviews and workshops with the Lepaya Operations Team to identify opportunities to streamline processes. This journey has been used to prioritize initiatives that will help Lepaya reduce the number of manual touchpoints by 60%.
•
Client Insights: Interviewed clients and the Sales team to gain insights into client needs. This journey has been used with C-level stakeholders to identify strategic opportunities for the new client-facing Lepaya platform, aligning with Lepaya’s 2024 strategy.
