As a prepress technician, my role is to ensure that customer-supplied artwork for labels is translated correctly into proofs and print ready files for our presses. The prepress operator is a key part of the production team and works cooperatively with others to ensure that our customers’ design specifications are met.

Operating on a Mac OSX platform and other computer-controlled systems

as well as Adobe Suite and Esko printing software, I perform color-separation, retouching or updating customer supplied files, platemaking and proofing files to ensure proper format,

appearance, and layout.

Wine and spirit label/packaging production including proofing and typesetting for press-ready artwork, color-correction/image adjustments, creating 3-D renderings of products, and plate making, along with designing signage and promotional materials that follow company guidelines, developing add-on software for Adobe CC using JavaScript, HTML5, & CSS.
