I operate at the intersection of human-computer interaction, civil engineering, and social impact, transforming how we design, build, and experience our digital and physical environments. As a newly appointed Lecturer at Cardiff University's School of Engineering (April 2025), I bring over 8 years of research experience and a track record of securing substantial funding, including €10M+ for projects like ACCORD (automated compliance), CUSP (Computational Urban Sustainability Platform), and Digital Twin initiatives for decarbonising seaports.

My PhD thesis pioneered semantic-driven UX frameworks for BIM/CIM applications, published across five peer-reviewed journals, including Applied Energy and Sustainable Cities and Society. This research bridges the gap between complex engineering systems and intuitive user experiences, making sophisticated building data accessible to a diverse range of stakeholders.

As a full-stack developer with 15+ years of experience, I architect solutions across the entire technology stack—from React/Vue.js frontends to scalable backend systems, Docker deployments, and blockchain implementations. Through XPress Reflect, my web development consultancy, I deliver bespoke digital solutions for UK businesses, consistently achieving first-page Google rankings.

My work transcends traditional boundaries: I apply machine learning to urban sustainability challenges, develop neural network-based predictive control systems for sports facilities, achieve 33% energy savings, and create NLP models for real-time event detection in smart cities. This interdisciplinary approach, which is enhanced by continuing education in psychology and philosophy, enables me to tackle complex socio-technical challenges holistically.

Beyond technical achievements, I'm deeply passionate about leveraging technology for social good. As founder of AboutADHD.com and official translator of the World ADHD Federation's International Consensus Statement, I advocate for neurodiversity awareness. My earlier research on suicide-related communication on Twitter demonstrates my commitment to using data science for mental health initiatives.
