### Social Network Analyst @ Visible Path

- Worked under eminent Social Network Analysis researcher Prof. Stan Wasserman.
- With Prof. Wasserman, developed vastly improved algorithms for relationship weighting.
- Wrote logistic regression and discriminate analysis routines.
- Analyzed predictors of introduction success.
- Built up an analysis library in lisp, R, and a "literate programming'' version in Mathematica.

- Programmed in Java for an enterprise-scale collaboration and knowledge-management product (winner of the Network Computer product of the year award for 2002).  
- Personally responsible for indexing and search functionality, LDAP client and server functionality, authentication, and notification processing.  
- Co-wrote a generic indexing service with the ability to plug in different search backends, using XML and Java reflection.
- Integrated and evaluated Verity, Convera, Autonomy, and FAST search engines.
- Rearchitected and rewrote LDAP functionality to vastly increase speed, security, reusability, functionality, memory consumption, and allow integration with Active Directory.

### Research Programmer @ San Jose State University
Jan 1999 – Jan 2000
- Worked as a contractor for three researchers at NASA Ames.
- Helped write and debug image capturing and processing software, in C and a custom scripting language, for capturing eye movement videos and extracting eye fixation data.
- Created a new library of classes for display of stimuli and recording of eye-movement data, using Microsoft Direct X.
- Analyzed EEG data in S plus.
- Wrote a linux device driver for the Polhemus 3D position tracker.

### Senior Software Engineer @ Intellicorp
Jan 1997 – Jan 1999
- Using C++, worked as part of a product development team, fixing bugs and 
  adding functionality, on versions of our flagship product, LiveModel, from 
  versions 2.0 to 3.01.
- Co-developed and solely maintained a rule-system to simplify and stabilize object deletion in LiveModel.
- Solely developed procedures and a COM DLL used to fix database corruptions.
- Worked with Visual C++ and Visual Basic to provide specific end-user tools.
- Worked on underlying database layer to Poet's OODB system.
- Quickly responded to reported bugs and customer escalations.
