Took time off to take care of a family medical emergency. Working on personal projects, primarily an iOS and watchOS fitness app, still in alpha, written entirely in Swift. Gained a lot of knowledge about CoreData, HealthKit, watchOS, iOS graphics and picked up some application design and graphic design skills as well. Currently looking to resume full-time employment, preferably continuing to work on mobile application development.

Pushd is a mobile app startup founded by ex-Twitter engineers and execs. While there I worked on a variety of app ideas for the company on iOS and watchOS, with some Android development as well. Besides front-end work, I maintained the Rails backend and the MySQL database. Worked briefly on their current Auraframes product.

Hired as web engineer and 15th employee in the company. Ended up working on 3 homepage redesigns, 3 entire-site redesigns, search integration, verified-user badges, the crowd-sourced i18n application, 3rd party widgets, static assets packaging, new user onboarding, notification email delivery and generation, the mobile web app, the A/B testing platform, OAuth implementation, JS core frameworks, Facebook & LinkedIn integration, various APIs including follow recommendations and data logging. Managed and implemented analytics gathering infrastructure and some analysis infrastructure for web and mobile apps. Probably a lot of other stuff I've forgotten.

BEA was bought by Oracle. Left shortly thereafter.
