In my role as Director of Product Design at VICE, I collaborated closely with senior leadership to craft both business and design strategies, helping to shape our product roadmap and set clear objectives. I led an initiative on launching a rapid experimentation and testing process, consolidating resources from design, development, and product departments. I was instrumental in enhancing VICE's multi-brand design system, emphasizing improved practices, governance, and contribution method, in partnership with a group of extremely talented designers, pm's, and engineers on both the brand and product teams.
In my role as Senior Product Design Manager, I took charge of the product design lifecycle, overseeing a variety of projects. These ranged from innovative product launches to the rollout of 20+ diverse commercial/editorial campaigns, major features, and adaptable ad products. By defining and refining the design process and selecting the right tools, I improved the team's workflow, increasing speed, work quality, and overall satisfaction.
At Loxley, my role involved defining and leading the entire product design process. From initial research phases to high-fidelity design and subsequent user testing, I ensured products met user and business needs. A notable project was the construction of our comprehensive design system, and I was also responsible for seamlessly translating UI designs into functional apps across platforms like React, React Native, and Angular.
During my time at VCP, my primary responsibilities encompassed ensuring a smooth transition of UI designs, comprehensive style guides, and assets directly to our development team. I also took pride in boosting our platform's accessibility, successfully meeting the stringent WCAG/WC3 standards, ensuring a more inclusive user experience.
