# Andrew Patterson > Engineering @ Tenkara Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/andrewpatterson I've spent most of my career as the first or only engineer at early-stage startups. That means owning architecture, product calls, and whatever else doesn't have a person yet. At Stitchflow I owned the application API, helped get us to SOC 2, and shipped features end-to-end with full autonomy. At Opendoor I took a California-only mortgage app nationwide and built the lead routing service from scratch. At RedDoor I built a document portal that tied into all of our internal and third-party tooling before the acquisition. Now I'm at Tenkara, building AI-powered supply chain tools for manufacturers. TypeScript, React, Node, Postgres, plus whatever the problem needs. I care about test coverage, clean migrations, and not making things more complicated than they need to be. Earlier on I ran ACM at SF State, was one of the original founders and organizers of SF Hacks (300+ students), and taught CS at Lincoln High School in San Francisco. Building engineering communities is still one of the highest-leverage things I know how to do. ## Work Experience ### Senior Full Stack Software Engineer @ Tenkara Jan 2026 – Present | San Francisco Bay Area Building supply chain visibility and sourcing tools for manufacturers.
