Reducing Unknown Errors with Asynchronous Redundancy Measure

• Designed and implemented an asynchronous redundancy measure to reduce unknown errors.

• Identified and corrected documents that unexpectedly failed out asynchronous processes.

• Implemented measures to enhance system reliability and error handling.

• Expected to significantly reduce error rates, anticipating a reduction of over 90%.

Assess: This innovative feature has distinguished Checkr in the market, offering unique capabilities and insights that were previously unavailable in the background check industry.

• API Development: I was a pivotal contributor to the team responsible for creating many of the APIs that power the Assess feature, ensuring robust and efficient data processing and retrieval.

• Front-End Development: I contributed to the development of the front-end of the Assess feature, leveraging React to create a user-friendly and intuitive interface.

General Adjudication Products:

• Adverse Action: I worked on refining and expanding our adverse action products, ensuring compliance and accuracy in the decision-making process for background checks.

• Candidate Stories: I was involved in the development of the Candidate Stories feature, which provides a comprehensive and transparent view of a candidate's background, aiding employers in making informed hiring decisions.

Worked within a 7 person scrum team to extend our payroll product and add key features which have led to our fastest growing market since the region's launch. Developed new features, addressed tech debt, reviewed other developers code, triaged customer support issues.

Key Achievements:

• Built a direct connection to two of the top UK pension providers to provide users with a one stop solution to handling payroll, and employee pensions (govt mandated 401k equivilent).

• Built server-less micro services to communicate with the UK HMRC to automate the updating of employee tax codes.

• Built encryption library to securely store tokens for OAuth2.0 use.

Responsible for building out test automation coverage and framework enhancements. Also handled small bug code fixes.
