I worked at TubeMogul under John Trenkle as an intern developing a data visualization tool for internal use. I gained experience with Javascript, Java, Python, Hive and MySQL. The task involved querying various Hive tables, analyzing the data in Python and Java, storing that data into MySQL tables, creating a RESTful web service through Dropwizard, and then using Javascript and d3.js to call that data and generate meaningful visuals for the Machine Learning team.
