I worked at Microsoft Research with Xiaodong He, Amittai Axelrod, and Li Deng for 8 weeks to prepare for the TALK Task of the International Workshop on Spoken Language Translation 2011. I wrote tools in C# to analyze segments of text that would allow for better translations of TED Talks from Chinese to English. I also tested the Moses MT System on various datasets to find the optimal settings for our final system. My work was documented in a paper presented at IWSLT 2011.
