# Angela Louh > Senior Software Engineer I @ Culture Biosciences Location: Mountain View, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/angelalouh Hello! I am a Full Stack Developer who completed Thinkful's Software Engineering Flex Program in Dec. 2021; however, my coding journey began in 2019, when I started learning Java while working full-time. After realizing how fun yet challenging coding can be, I decided to take the leap and switch careers. While working through Thinkful's intensive curriculum, I became proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, Node.js, Express, Knex.js, PostgreSQL, and unit testing with Mocha and Chai. Since graduating from the program, I have been furthering my skills and knowledge by listening to podcasts, learning material on Codecademy, reading articles by fellow developers, watching YouTube videos on new concepts, and tackling coding challenges. Previously, I worked in the Healthcare industry for nine years, where I gained invaluable experience working efficiently and effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure multidisciplinary team environments. Outside of work, I enjoy playing ultimate frisbee, solving trivia and puzzles, spending time with friends and family, and watching sports, TV shows, or movies. ## Work Experience ### Senior Software Engineer I @ Culture Biosciences Jan 2022 – Present ### Software Engineering Flex Program @ Thinkful Jan 2021 – Jan 2021 | Remote - Completed 9 projects by applying acquired knowledge and skills in frontend and backend web development. - Practical mastery of Javascript, HTML, CSS, React, RESTful APIs, Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, Knex.js, and unit testing with Mocha & Chai. ### Patient Flow Coordinator/Medical Scribe @ Stanford Health Care Jan 2017 – Jan 2021 | Palo Alto, CA - Supported physicians in seeing more than 12 patients a day in 6 different oncology clinics. - Prepared, documented, and polished office visit notes for physicians to review and sign by the end of the clinic. - Trained 5 new hires for the breast oncology, gynecologic oncology, and reconstructive plastic surgery clinics. - Generated 6 different, specialty-focused training documents for the clinics of the physicians I worked with. ### Medical Scribe @ Fenway Community Health Jan 2014 – Jan 2015 - Assisted a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in seeing patients in primary care, the Alternative Insemination Program, Trans Health Program, and the HIV/STI clinic. - Prepared, documented, and polished office visit notes for an NP to review and sign by the end of the clinic. - Billed office visits with the appropriate International Classification of Diseases (ICD) medical codes. - Attended weekly Trans Health team meetings and continuing medical education lectures. ### Medical Scribe @ Scribe Partners Jan 2014 – Jan 2015 - Received medical scribe training in preparation for the medical scribe role at Fenway Health. ### Stress Test Lab Intern @ Brigham and Women's Hospital Jan 2013 – Jan 2014 - Screened and obtained informed consent from patients for the ordered stress test. - Prepped patients for the stress tests by placing electrodes and then connecting them to the electrocardiogram (EKG) machine. - Gathered patients’ baseline, exercise, and recovery blood pressure (BP) measurements. - Monitored patients’ EKG readings, heart rate, and BP throughout the stress tests. - Reviewed collected data and completed initial write-ups of the results from the stress tests. ### Research Assistant @ Health and Disability Research Institute (HDRI) @ Boston University School of Public Health Jan 2011 – Jan 2014 - Worked on the My Care My Call project for the New England Regional Spinal Cord Injury Center. - Assisted with the preparation, organization, and execution of HDRI conferences. - Inputted, organized, and cleaned the data of various research studies. - Created presentations for HDRI studies. - Assisted with the finalization of progress reports and grants. ### Intern @ National Institute for Health Innovation Jan 2012 – Jan 2012 | Auckland, New Zealand - Conducted physical assessments of participants in the Vitamin D Assessment (ViDA) study. - Gathered product images and nutritional data of food products for the New Zealand Virtual Supermarket study. - Organized, quantified, and analyzed the results of the Retailers who Stop Selling Tobacco (ReSiST) study. ### Research Assistant @ Department of General Practice and Primary Health Care Jan 2012 – Jan 2012 | Auckland, New Zealand Worked as a research assistant for the BRIGHT Trial ### Volunteer @ Brigham and Women's Hospital Jan 2012 – Jan 2012 Worked as a volunteer in the Medical Career Exploration Program at Brigham and Women's Hospital ### Teacher Assistant @ Santa Clara Unified School District Jan 2011 – Jan 2011 Taught math to seventh grade students in the math acceleration program ## Education ### Computer Software Engineering Thinkful ### Bachelor of Science (BS) in Human Physiology Boston University ### Cupertino High School ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/angela-louh - Website: https://github.com/angelalouh --- Source: https://flows.cv/angelalouh JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/angelalouh/resume.json Last updated: 2026-04-01
