# Animesh Ramesh > Senior Software Engineer at Google Location: Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/animeshramesh Passionate about deep learning, computer vision and its wide spread applications. ## Work Experience ### Senior Software Engineer @ Google Jan 2024 – Present | Mountain View, California, United States ML infra for Ads ### Software Engineer @ Google Jan 2021 – Jan 2024 | Mountain View, California, United States ML infra for Ads ### Software Engineer @ Google Jan 2019 – Jan 2021 | Mountain View, California Working on efficient model inference on Google StreetView cars. ### Computer Vision/Deep Learning Engineer @ Orbital Insight Jan 2018 – Jan 2019 | Mountain View Primarily working on image segmentation, image recognition and object detection based problems. ### Computer Vision/Deep Learning Intern @ Orbital Insight Jan 2017 – Jan 2017 | Mountain View - Orbital Insight is a fast growing provider of geo-analytic services to commercial, nonprofit and public sector clients across the globe. - Working with a talented group of people to implement highly scalable computer vision algorithms on multispectral satellite imagery. ### Graduate Teaching Assistant @ Carnegie Mellon University Jan 2017 – Jan 2017 Graduate Teaching Assistant for (16-385) Computer Vision course at CMU. ### Software Engineering Intern @ Flipkart Jan 2016 – Jan 2016 | Bangalore Developed a scalable, robust Question & Answer platform on MEAN stack for internal communication. The platform enables employees to : * Run quick internal polls and vote on responses in real time. * Share ideas, receive suggestions and brainstorm efficiently. * Manage Q&As for any topic as needed. ### Research Intern, Acoustic Research Lab (ARL) @ National University of Singapore Jan 2015 – Jan 2015 * Gained hands-on experience in integrating autonomous behaviour with the existing NUSwan project. (A Robotic Water sensor) * These watercrafts are minimally propelled & scalable systems that can carry on-site water quality probes and operate with minimal manual intervention. * Responsible for implementing a system which detects and avoids boats and kayaks using OpenCV. * Given a starting location and a destination, the watercraft collects water samples from specified "hotspots" while avoiding all the obstacles (like boats/kayaks) in between. * Unlike autonomous cars on the road, this project posed a huge obstacle since the vehicle moves on water. Thus the images captured were often blurred and disoriented. ### Software Developer @ KuranoMed Jan 2015 – Jan 2015 * KuranoMed aims to provide compact and low cost laparoscopic training kits in Asia. * Partnered with several laparoscopic surgeons in Singapore to implement a novel computer vision framework which analyses and evaluates the speed & precision of surgeons in real time. * The project entailed assessing different surgeons for a set of tasks designed for improving their hand-eye coordination while performing laparoscopic surgery. Surgeons can then review this statistical data to improve their performance. * This software is currently being used for training several laparoscopic surgeons in Singapore. ## Education ### Master’s Degree in Computer Vision Carnegie Mellon University ### Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science Ramaiah Institute Of Technology ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/animeshramesh --- Source: https://flows.cv/animeshramesh JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/animeshramesh/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-29
