Worked individually and in teams of four to build full-stack web applications using MEAN stack and Ruby on Rails.
Projects:
Walkr - Created a web application that connects and motivates neighbors, coworkers and friends to stay healthy through group walks. Users can log in with Facebook and create walks or rsvp to walks. The social aspect is what keeps users motivated to walk more! I did all front-end and back-end development.
Technologies used: Javascript, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, Mongoose, AngularJS.
Savit App - Worked on a team to develop an app that helps users achieve their savings goals by providing a simple platform to track expenses and monitor performance. Built back-end routes and models and wrote functions to calculate performance data.
Technologies used: Ruby on Rails, Postgres, JQuery.
Prayer Bond - Created a full-stack web application that increases communication between missionaries and those praying for them by allowing users to manage prayer requests and track how often they are prayed for. I built all front-end and back-end development.
Technologies used: Javascript, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, Mongoose.
Travel Chatter - Worked on a team to create an app for people to share their experiences in any city around the world. I built the models and routes for the posts and cities and used Embed Google API. Technologies used: Ruby on Rails, Postgres
Together App – Helps small groups stay connected during the week through prayer. This app won runner-up Best of Started at the Hackathon award at the 2015 Bay Area Code for the Kingdom Hackathon. I was lead developer and built the front-end and back-end for this app.
Technologies used: Javascript, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, Mongoose.
