Full-stack software engineer who strives to create purposeful software that solves real-world problems and enriches people’s lives. I love designing sleek, responsive user interfaces with smooth user experiences just as much as I enjoy optimizing servers for increased throughput and minimal latency. My experiences across the stack give me a broader scope when tackling technical challenges and shape my design choices. I specialize in constructing modular, dynamic components primarily with React / Redux, but am also familiar with Angular and Backbone. On the backend, I am most experienced designing robust, scalable RESTful server-side architectures using Node.js / Express, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis. I have created horizontally-scaled, service-oriented deployments with AWS and Docker integrating many of these technologies.

In my free time, you will find me at a coffee shop prototyping new app ideas and playing around with new technologies. Outside of programming, I find joy in hiking, playing tennis, trying new foods, and casually competing in video games. Please feel free to reach out or just say hi!
