After graduating I was offered a full time position working on building T-Mobile’s next flagship product. As one of the few engineers on the team that was there before the acquisition, I had to work on both the QA and development teams to help expand and assist in ramping up new hires. While the team increased in size to twelve people across three different time zones my responsibilities on both QA and development teams included: 
- As the primary point of contact for all new hire on-boarding, I mentored and taught Javascript/Typescript best practices and paradigms.
- Updated and maintained our NodeJS/TypeScript automated testing framework. As the only engineer that worked closely with both QA and front end teams I also developed the UI testing project structure for our team.

A startup founded by cable executives Dave Fellows and Jeff Binder, Layer3 TV set out to revolutionize the cable industry using the latest IP video, embedded, and web technologies. As an intern at a small team consisting of just one full time engineer and two interns including myself, I had multiple responsibilities including:
- Created a build server that updates packages on our set-top-box.
- Worked on a NodeJS/TypeScript testing framework that integrates Selenium WebDriver and Chrome DevTools protocol into a common functional interface. Using this framework I wrote tests that could run in parallel on our set-top-box and multiple browsers.
- Created unit and component tests in Jasmine for our web application using the Aurelia framework.
- Researched different communication protocols such as MQTT and webRTC to test performance for our specific use case.
